Over the summer I headed over to Willow Run stables in Mequon, WI to photograph Miranda and her new horse Prince. Miranda had recently outgrown DRF DeeDee, her beautiful Connemara pony who she competed in Hunters with. Prince is a talented bay gelding who came up from Florida so Miranda could start to compete in Hunter Derbys and Equitation classes with him.
Horses run in the family as Miranda’s mom, Nicole, as well as her grandmother are both equestrians. Nicole has done both jumping and dressage so it makes perfect sense that Miranda is following in her footsteps with excellent horsemanship as well as a taste for the show ring. Although a newer partnership, you can already see how well Prince and Miranda have clicked. I can’t wait to see what the future has in store for this pair!
